Gretna……..Harold Lee Mayhew, Sr., age 81 of Gretna died Friday, June 10, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born November 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Jessie William Mayhew, Sr. and Hazel Davis Mayhew. Mr. Mayhew was the owner/operator of Mayhew's Hardware and Furniture. He enjoyed spending time on his farm.

He is survived by one son, Lee Mayhew of Gretna; one daughter, Mary Margaret Kitchens and husband, Josh of Gretna; one brother, Jessie "Sonny" Mayhew and wife, Jerry of Danville; one sister, Jane Burnette and husband, Bob of Danville; two grandchildren, Ethan Kitchens and Ava Lee Kitchens; and his companion dog, "Aggie."

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
