Harold Wade Adams

Gretna……….Harold Wade Adams, age 73 of 3129 Derby Rd, Gretna died Monday, May 2, 2011.
Born October 4, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late, Thomas Henry Adams and Elizabeth Rose Worley Adams, he was also predeceased by an infant son; six brothers and one sister; Willard Adams, James Adams, Curtis Adams, Paul Adams, Bernard Adams, Oscar Adams, and Martha Hammock.
He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Adams was retired owner of Adams Grocery, he was also a former employee with Klopman. Mr. Adams was an avid horseman, and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Adell Mays Adams of the residence; one son, Alan Wade Adams and wife Ruth Anne of Hurt; one brother, Clayton Adams of Gretna; two sisters, Bertha Bennett of Hurt, and Drewsey Myers of Hurt; three grandchildren, Allison Marie Adams, Jason Wade Adams, and Benjamin Wade Adams; and good friends Ronnie Doss and Darrell Gibson.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield and Rev. Chris Moore. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
