Gretna…….Gergory Scott "Greg" Barbour, age 50 of Gretna died Friday, February 16, 2024.

Born June 21, 1973 in Danville, he was a son of Haywood "Tick" Barbour, Jr. of Hurt and the late  Jeannette Oakes Barbour.  Greg was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and he worked as a farmer on Brown's Farm.  He was a member of several  different volunteer fire departments in Pittsylvania County; and he loved his children,  farming, and riding side-by-sides.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Julia Howell Barbour; four sons, Nicholas Barbour, Kenneth Barbour, Gregory Barbour, and James Abbott; and five daughters, Brittney Barbour, Julie Barbour, Pamela Barbour, Cova Barbour, and Heather Abbott.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Summersett Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Andrews and Brian Dudley.
