Gretna……Glenwood Ira "Glen" Dalton, age 90 of Gretna died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his residence.

Born March 5, 1932 in Schoolfield, which is now Danville, he was a son of the late Ira Lee Dalton and Velma Brumfield Dalton.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Olvis Dalton; and a grandson, Justin Robert Moser.

He retired from the Lane Company after 44 years of service.  He enjoyed gardening, playing his fiddle, and bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Hines Dalton of Gretna; two daughters, Donna Dalton Bernard and husband, Keith of Hurt, and Vickie Dalton Moser and husband, Ricky of Java; one son, Patrick Glen Dalton and Starr Moore of Browns Summit, NC; two sisters, Atha Dalton Bailey of Gretna, and Judy Lee Dalton of Gretna; four grandchildren, Jason Moser and wife, Kristi, Lauren Gibson and husband, Dwayne, Jeremy Moser and wife, Desire, and Jared Dalton; and seven great-grandchildren, Abby Gibson, Logan Gibson, Wyatt Gibson, Jadon Moser, Jacob Moser, Elizabeth Moser, and Haley Moser.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev Bobby Brumfield.  Burial will follow in Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
