Java……Glenn Nelson Strickland, age 58 of Java died Friday, April 4, 2025 at his residence.

Born March 25, 1967 in Danville, he was a son of Edna Redd Strickland of Gretna and the late Alvin Hubert Strickland.  He was predeceased by his wife, Angela Barnes Strickland; and one brother, Mark Strickland.  Glenn was a diesel mechanic, avid hunter and a member of Riceville Hunting Club.  He loved riding motorcycles and was a member of Scorpions Motorcycle Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Dustin Strickland (Bethany) of Gretna; two daughters, Ashley Moore (Mandy) of Chatham and Leanne Lantrip of Gretna; his girlfriend, Rebecca Yeatts of Java; two brothers, Marvin Strickland of Blairs and Doc Strickland of Halifax; one sister, Bobbi Jo Saunders of Chatham; and two grandchildren, Erica Lantrip and Logan Lantrip.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Mike McDowell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
