Altavista….Bradley Glenn Ashwell, age 62 of Gladys died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his residence.
Born March 16, 1954 in Campbell County he was a son of the late William Buford Ashwell and Gracie Talbott Ashwell. Mr. Ashwell was a paint shop manager at Burton Creek Garage and attended Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Glenn enjoyed singing and playing music, he also enjoyed spending time with his many friends and helping other people.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Thurman Ashwell of the residence; one son, Kevin Bradley Ashwell and wife, Christy of Gladys; one brother, Lynn Ashwell of Altavista; one sister, Brenda Delores Dalton and husband, McKinley of Gretna; three grandchildren, Iris Ashwell, Lila Ashwell and Levi Ashwell; and his father-in-law, E.B. Thurman, Jr. of Gladys.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Family Life Center at New Prospect Baptist Church by Rev. Jim Critchley and Rev. Brad Hendrix. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 2374 Tabor Road, Gladys, VA.
