Hurt……….Glenda Gardner Bentley, age 86 of Hurt, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her daughter's residence.

Born June 7, 1936 in Wise County, she was a daughter of the late Edmond Robert Gardner and Vonda Isom Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband, Willard Carol Bentley; two brothers, Dwayne Gardner and Roger Gardner; a brother-in-law, Walter Bentley; and a great-granddaughter, D'Angel Ashley Easton-Williams. Mrs. Bentley was a member of Motley Baptist Church and retired from Pittsylvania County Schools. She loved crossword puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Jamie Carol Bentley of Hurt; two daughters, Diane Fielder of Sandy Level and Lana Huber and husband, Kevin of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Peggy Brock of Wise County; one brother, Joe Gardner of FL; four grandchildren, Jessica Easton-Williams, Danna Aguilar, David Hall and Brittny Hall; and 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Mitch Etheridge. Burial will follow at the Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
