Yanceyville, NC…..Gladys Rigney Pruitt, age 81 of Yanceyville, NC formerly of Callands died Monday, October 3, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born October 31, 1934 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Bertha Rigney. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Pruitt; a son Larry Pruitt; three brothers, Clinton Rigney, Otis Rigney, and Lonnie Rigney; and two sisters, Poppie Allen and Thelma Pruitt. Mrs. Pruitt was a former hair stylist and a consultant for Mary Kay. She was a member of Oak Ridge Christian Church; and she enjoyed flowers and yard work.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Pruitt of Callands; grandchildren, Jamie Pruitt and Misty Gilliam; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaleigh, Austin and Chloe.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Pruitt Family Cemetery by Pastor Roy Parker.
