Hurt……….Gladys Ferguson Holland, age 75 of Hurt died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her residence.
Born April 27, 1938 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Luther Ferguson and Ola Maxey Ferguson. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Samuel Holland. Mrs. Holland was home maker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and traveling.
She is survived by four sons, Ricky Simpson and his wife, Beth of Altavista, Terry Simpson of Chatham, Kenny Simpson and his wife, Lisa of Sandy Level, and Todd Holland and his wife, Allison of Gretna; two brothers, James Ferguson of Gretna, and Gary Ferguson of Madison Heights; four sisters, Doris Ann Kinsler of Hurt, Juanita Bailey of Rustburg, Josie Burks of Rustburg, and Audrey Rigney of Roanoke; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.
