Gladys Neal Franklin

Bluefield, West Virginia…..Gladys Neal Franklin, age 73 of 433 Parkway, Bluefield, WV died Thursday, November 24 at her residence after an extended battle with cancer.
Born October 16, 1938 in Pittsylvania county she was a daughter of the late Theodore R. Neal and Lillie B. Neal Berger. Mrs. Franklin was a member of College Ave. Baptist Church in Bluefield, WV, a graduate of Renan High School, and was a devoted wife and loving Mother.
She is survived by her husband, William (Billy) Ray Franklin of the residence; two daughters, Sandra Franklin-Butler and husband, Arthur Butler, Jr. of Germantown, MD and Susan Franklin-Smith and husband Marc Smith of Gretna; two brothers, Reuben Neal of Gretna and John Neal of Gretna; two sisters, Mavis Brooks of Gretna and Nancie Reese of Gretna; two grandchildren, Arthur Butler III and Ashley Butler.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the residence of her daughter, Susan Franklin-Smith, 703 South Main Street, Gretna and one hour prior to the service Sunday, 1 to 2 p.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
