Gladys Shelton Eanes

Gretna.......Gladys Shelton Eanes, age 88, of Gretna died Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Gretna Health & Rehab.
Born November 17, 1921 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late, Norman R. Shelton and Lora Yeatts Shelton. Mrs. Eanes was predeceased by her husband, Roy L. Eanes; one sister, Thelma Irby; and two brothers, James Shelton and Frank Shelton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna, where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the WMU. Mrs. Eanes was a home maker who enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and J.R. Pearson of Gretna; one brother, Lyle Shelton and wife, Sue of Gretna; two sisters, Lelia Brumfield, and Ruby Shelton both of Gretna; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Brandenburg and her husband Mark of Cary, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Hilliard. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and J.R. Pearson, 109 Hollyberry Drive, Gretna.
