Gertrude Houlik, age 100 of Gretna passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her residence.

Born October 23, 1925, in Bronx, NY, she was a daughter of the late Milton Nohowec and Gertrude Catherine Gross Nohowec.

Mrs. Houlik lived her early years on Long Island, NY, then later in the Gretna, VA area. She was married to the late Stanley E. Houlik and was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Dowdy of Gretna; granddaughter, Danica Taylor (Scott) and great grandchildren, Tamra Taylor (Cameron) and Will Edwards; and special friends, Barbara Shand Cleary and Heather Shand.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
