Gretna………Geraldine Carter Arnold, age 79 of Gretna died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born September 2, 1940, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Wade Carter and Bertha O'dell Reynolds Carter.  She was predeceased by two daughters, Cindy Arnold and Jennie Daniel; two brothers, Douglas Carter and Glenn Carter; two sisters, Shirley McGhee and Mary Hall; and her husband, Ulam Samuel Arnold.  Geraldine retired from Burlington Industries.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Arnold of Altavista and Douglas Arnold of Hurt; two daughters, Wendy Blair and husband, Jerry of Sandy Level, and Teresa Wiegand of Hurt; one sister, Susan Easome and husband Wayne of Gretna; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Carter of Hurt; special nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Marie Clark.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Blair-Arnold Family Cemetery/Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Lynn Marstin.
