Sandy Level……….Georgia Doss Walker, age 84 of Sandy Level died Friday, February 12, 2021 at her residence.

Born February 22, 1936 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late James W. Doss and Ida Louise Owen Doss.  She was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Lee "Rusty" Walker; one brother, James W. Doss, Jr.; and one sister, Mary King.  Mrs. Walker was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and she was a home maker.  She loved crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, word finders, sewing, and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Owen and significant other, John Wayne Bailess of Gretna; four brothers, Merrill Doss of Sandy Level, Jimmie Doss of Sandy Level, Bobby Doss of Sandy Level, and Carlton Doss of Roanoke; two sisters, Ann Doss of Sandy Level, and Nell Doss and significant other, Charles of Blacksburg; one grandchild, Amanda Hogan and husband, Matt; two great-grandchildren, Emma Hogan, and Steven Hogan; and a devoted son-in-law, Jimmy Owen.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Tammy Owen.
