Danville………George Bennett Walden, Jr., age 69 of Danville passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Piney Forest Health and Rehab of Danville.

Born August 9, 1956 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late George Bennett Walden, Sr. and Mary McGhee Walden Falls.  He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Walden.  He loved to listen to the preaching, playing Bingo, and dressing up as a cop at Piney Forest Health and Rehab.

He is survived by three sisters, Rose Walden of Gretna, Mae Belle Shelton and husband, Freddie of Danville and Florence Barbour of Gretna; four brothers, Howard Walden of Danville, John Walden and wife, Sheila of Gretna, Jack Walden and wife, Sandra of Gretna and Wayne Walden and wife, Debra of Climax; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
