Gretna……George Henry Falls, age 77 of Gretna died Friday, June 16, 2023 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born April 24, 1946 in Halifax County, he was a son of the late Hartford Jasper Falls and Helen Henderson Falls.  He was predeceased by three sisters, Lucille Crews, Geneva Dalton, and Jean Richardson; and six brothers, Joseph Falls, Melvin Falls, Boyd Falls, James Falls, Edward Falls, and William Falls.  Mr. Falls was of the Baptist faith and he was a former employee of Saunders Lumber Company.  He enjoyed making things with his hands and listening to music.

He is survived by two sisters, Frances Walker and husband, Dickie of Halifax, and  Elsie Rowland of Gretna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in the Dove Family Cemetery.
