Hurt…….George (Rick) Darrell Laxton, age 58 of 101 Highway View Rd, Hurt died Friday, February 8, 2013 at his home.
Born July 18, 1954 in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late George Henry Laxton and Jean Wyatt Laxton. He was predeceased by one brother, Frank Laxton; and two sisters, Brenda Laxton and Linda Ellis. Mr. Laxton was of the Baptist Faith and was a Tow Motor Driver for Flat Rock Metal Co. He enjoyed watching football and playing softball.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Terri) Louise Queener Laxton of the residence; two sons, James Everett Burdette of Hurt and Christopher Kevin Tyree of Detroit, MI; and one sister, Sandy Laxton of Lucasville, OH.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
