Gretna…….Geneva Mayhew Goad, age 83 of Gretna died Monday, August 26, 2024 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born February 10, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Norris Graham Mayhew and Ruth Barbour Mayhew.  She was predeceased by her husband, Percy Hampton Goad, Jr.   Mrs. Goad attended Greenbay Christian Church and she retired from Klopman Mills.  She enjoyed Blue Grass Music and camping.

She is survived by two sisters, Gail Thompson and husband, Bailey of Gretna and Brenda Robertson and husband, Raymond of Pittsville; one brother, Roy Mayhew of Pittsville and his son, Joey Mayhew; nephew Edward Robertson and his children, Jessie Robertson, Dwayne Robertson and wife, Hannah Beth, Gretchen Robertson and Dereck Robertson; and special friends, Ann Barbour and Teresa Aiken.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Lee Ashley, Minister.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Bailey Thompson.
