Groton, NY…..Gene Harmon Rolland, age 69 of Groton, NY died Friday, October 5, 2012 at the residence of his son in Java, VA.
Born July 31, 1943 in Hancock, NY he was a son of the late Ella Mae Rolland. Mr. Rolland was a foreman in the construction business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building race cars, and Sudoku puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Evener Rolland of Groton, NY; two sons, Shaun Rolland of Groton, NY, and Shane Rolland and his wife, Bobbi Jo of Java, VA; and five grandchildren, Courtney Saunders, James Saunders, Hailey Rolland, Jessica Rolland, and Zachariah Rolland.
Memorial services will be conducted at State Line Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia and at Groton Assembly of God in Groton, New York at a later date.
