Gretna……….Gary Martin Phillips, age 76 of Gretna died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his residence.

Born November 25, 1946 in Tampa, Florida, he was a son of the late Euston Chancy Phillips and Elma Martin Phillips.  Mr. Phillips was a 25 year U.S. Army Veteran, and worked 40 years with Hope Aglow Jail Ministries.  He enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Phillips of the residence; two daughters, Jeni Hammock and husband, Ethan of Gretna, and Angi Webb and husband, Brian of Virginia Beach; one brother, Steve Phillips and wife, Kaye of Kentucky; one sister, Judy Phillips of Boone, NC; and three grandchildren, Jordyn Jefferson, Colt Jefferson, and Calvin Webb.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Neal Hatfield, Garry Sims, and Pastor Drake King.  Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
