Gretna……Garnett Wayne Yeatts, Sr., age 68 of Gretna died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his residence.
Born December 15, 1946 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Charlie Ramsey Yeatts and Edna Willis Yeatts Love. He was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Kyle Yeatts; and three brothers, Pete Yeatts, Aubrey Yeatts and Darrell Yeatts. Mr. Yeatts was an Army Veteran, a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and retired from Ross Laboratories. Garnett enjoyed fishing and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gibson Yeatts of the residence; one son, Garnett Wayne Yeatts, Jr. and wife, Rency of Suffolk; one daughter, Kera Meadows and husband, Anthony "Yankee" Meadows, Sr. of Gretna; one brother, Alfred Yeatts of Gretna; one sister Jeanette Wood and her husband, Richard of Union Hall; five grandchildren, Anthony "Little Yank" Meadows, Jr., Alexis Meadows, Austin Meadows, Aaron Meadows, and Rayna Yeatts; one great-grandchild, Kayley Snow.
