Evington ………Frederick Ritson "Freddy" Coffey, Jr., age 69 of Evington died Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Born June 9, 1952 in Campbell County, he was a son of Frederick Ritson Coffey, Sr. of Altavista and the late Betty Kirby Coffey.  Mr. Coffey was a U.S. Marine Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Coffey of Evington, and Angela Coffey of Forest; two sons, Brandon Coffey of Evington, and Lucas Stockton of Tennessee; two sisters, Jo McDaniel and husband, Ricky of Chatham, and Audrey Guthrie of Monroe; and seven grandchildren, Makayla, Olivia, Brandon, Jr., Levi, Gavin, Grayson, and Jeremiah.; two nieces, Andrea Ferguson and husband, Lynn and Jo H. McDaniel; a nephew, James McDaniel; and his best friend, Tommy Guthrie of Evington.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Jeff Rhea.  Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
