Gretna……Lester "Frankie" Franklin Marsh, Jr., age 64 of Gretna died Monday, December 17, 2018 at his residence.

Born May 25, 1954 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Lester Franklin Marsh, Sr. and Shirley Lee Marsh.  He was predeceased by an infant son.  Mr. Marsh was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle.  Following his retirement from Ross he ran and operated Daddy Frank's Diner.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid NASCAR fan.  He also enjoyed all sports, especially Virginia Cavalier Football.

He is survived by his wife, Jane S. Marsh of the residence; one son, Lester Franklin Marsh III of Gretna; two daughters, Elizabeth Anne Marsh of Gretna and Tori Marsh of Gretna; one brother, Steve Marsh and wife, Virginia of Brookneal; two sisters, Connie Brown of Danville and Donna Orrell and husband, Shirley of Gretna; and a number of nieces, nephews and honorary sons.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
