Hurt…..Frank Usher Grooms, age 60 of Hurt died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his residence.
Born September 20, 1952 in Marlboro County, South Carolina he was a son of the late Sylvester Grooms and Susan Strickland Grooms. He was predeceased by a brother James Cecil Grooms. Mr. Grooms was a textile worker; and enjoyed NASCAR, and football, especially the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by one son, Frank Jason Grooms and his wife, Angie of Hurt; one daughter, Jennifer Francis and her husband, Anthony of Hurt; three sisters, Linda Jones and her husband, Harvey, Diane Hammonds, and Phyllis Brown and her husband, Jeses; a niece who was like a sister to him, Eva Simmons and her husband, Steve; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Per his request there will be no public service.
