Hurt……….Frances Miller "Libby" Simpson, age 76 of Hurt died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab of Altavista.

Born July 3, 1943 in Whitmire, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lovick Pierce Miller and Ruth Ester Cooper Miller Welborn.  Mrs. Simpson was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Martin Simpson; and her special companion, J.W. Kelly.  She retired from Techma and drove a school bus for the Pittsylvania County School System for over 20 years.  She enjoyed working on the farm and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Angela Garner and husband, J.W. of Hurt; one grandson, Ian Dylan Garner of Hurt; and J.W. Kelly's children, Jamie Kelly of Gladys and Joey Kelly of Lynch Station.

Per her request there will be no public service.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Libby's residence.
