Danville..…..Frances Elizabeth Parker, age 95 of Danville died Monday, October 7, 2013 at Roman Eagle Rehab and Health Care Center.
Born December 10, 1917 in Raleigh, NC she was a daughter of the late Fred Hudgins Parker and Fannie Meredith Farmer Parker. She was predeceased by a brother, Algernon Meredith Parker; and a sister, Martha Elizabeth Parker. She was a World War II, Women's Army Corps (WAC) Veteran. Frances was a commercial, news and portrait photogropher. She was a charter member of the Southern California Geneology Society, and one of the founders of the Questing Heirs Geneology Society of Virginia and North Carolina. Miss. Parker was also a member of the Pittsylvania County Historical Society and former volunteer for the Danville Public Library Geneology Room.
The last member of her immediate family she is survived by cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery by Rev. Lynn Marstin.
