Hurt…..Frances Trent Brooks, age 82 of Hurt died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, NC.
Born June 19, 1932 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Robert Holmes Trent and Ruby Roach Trent. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Charlie Brooks. Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Cody and was a former employee of Schrader-Bridgeport. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and gardening.
She is survived by one son, Randell Brooks and his wife, Wendy of Hurt; one daughter, June Brooks of Hurt; one brother, Harold Trent; one sister, Ellen Callahan; and one grandchild, A.J. Greene.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Altavista Memorial Park by Rev. Ava Mitchell.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Randell and Wendy Brooks, 1396 Izaak Walton Road, Hurt.
