Danville……..Faye Carolyn Simpson, age 74 of Danville, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at Sovah Danville Regional Medical Center.

Born May 28, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Joel Laughton Simpson and Virginia Louise Tanksley Simpson. She was predeceased by one daughter, Sheryl Hardcastle; and one brother, Wayne Simpson; and her two special pets, Naja and Zina. Faye was a home maker and a caretaker for many years after working in the restaurant industry. She was a caring person who always put others before herself. She loved art, lighthouses and hummingbirds. Faye would always bring a smile to your face and her sense of humor was enjoyed by many.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Crews and husband, Travis of Callands, and Lance Hardcastle and wife, Julia of Charlottesville; one sister, Doris Simpson Cobb of Richmond; one son-in-law, John Hardcastle of Dillwyn; and two nephews, Travis Cobb and wife, Ashley, and Trevor Cobb.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Gretna Burial Park by Larry Owen, Minister.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Pittsylvania County Pet Center.
