Forest..…..Faye Shelton Harper, age 87 of Forest passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026 at her residence.

Born October 5, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Perry Mason Shelton and Valeria Osborne Shelton.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Amin Shelton; two sisters, Shirley Cundiff and Gloria Eanes; and two nieces, Robin Rowland and Phyllis Cundiff. Mrs. Harper managed rental property and was a dining room supervisor at the Chesepeake Seafood House at more than 20 stores.  She was a hard worker; and enjoyed flowers, working in the yard and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Harper of the residence; two sons, Edward Shelton of Catonsville, MD and Jimmy Barbour of Deltona, FL; one brother, Donald Shelton and wife, Diane of Gretna; one sister, Linda Haskins of Hurt; one grandchild, Omar Shelton of Sarasota, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Amir Shelton and Samir Shelton.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Joe Cornell.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
