Hurt…….Everett Dudley Moorefield, Sr., age 73 of Hurt passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Stanleytown Health and Rehab of Bassett.

Born June 30, 1952 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Frank Dudley Moorefield and Catherine Dalton Jones.  Mr. Moorefield was a U.S. Army veteran and a farmer.  Everett enjoyed watching T.V. and playing with his dogs.

He is survived by one son, Everett Moorefield, Jr. (Raynel); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three special cousins, Dora Mitchell, Justin Compton, Dan Rowland (Joanne Elliott) and Mandy Seamster (Billy) and numerous other cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Lynn Marstin.
