Dry Fork…....Mary Evelyn Rigney Osborne, age 82 of Dry Fork went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 1, 2024 surrounded by her daughters.

Born August 15, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Percy Thomas Rigney and Methis Lula Rigney.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Daniel Osborne; one grandson, Jonah Dalton; and one granddaughter, Candace Dalton.  Mrs. Osborne was a member of Gretna Chrisitan Church, and she was a secretary with Centech.  She loved her family; and enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, cooking, and playing the piano.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Pope Hays of Greensboro, NC, and Karen Hill and husband, Tim of Dry Fork; and two grandchildren, Christopher W. Perkins of Richmond, and Crystal Dalton of Dry Fork.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Russell H. East III.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the residence, and one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
