Penhook….….Erma Davidson David, age 87 of Penhook died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her residence.
Born January 6, 1930 in Franklin County she was a daughter of the late George Rueben Davidson and Archie Woody Slayton Davidson. She was predeceased by her husband, Drewry Lee David; five brothers, Taylor Davidson, Willard Davidson, Thomas Davidson, Arthur Davidson and an infant brother, Roy Stafford Davidson; and four sisters, Zelma Durham, Christine Merricks, Kathleen Hodges, and Virginia McCrickard. Mrs. David was a member of Liberty Christian Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, painting, crafts and needle pointing.
She is survived by two sons, Joe David and wife, Nancy of Penhook and Ronny David and wife, Rosalind of Penhook; three daughters, Bernice Palmer and husband, Steven of Penhook, Kitty Cales and husband, Paul of Penhook and Susan Doss and husband, Joey of Gretna; two sisters, Edna Thornton of Figsboro and Betty Wray Carter of Ridgeway; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Liberty Christian Church by Pastor Jyrone Denny and Wayne Wagner, Minister. Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Nancy David, 14693 West Gretna Road, Penhook.
