Gretna……...Erleen Elliott Mason, age 89 of 189 Azalea Drive, Gretna died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her residence.
Born October 5, 1924 in Campbell County she was a daughter of the late Howard Elliott and Mabel Hogan Elliott. She was predeceased by her husband of over 71 years Jack M. Mason; two brothers, H.W. Elliott and Warren Elliott; sisters, Jeanne Self, Juanita Burnette, and Doris Elliott Russell; a son-in-law, Samuel Earl Blair; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Mason. Mrs. Mason was a member of Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a home maker and loved her family.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy Mason and his wife, Patsy of Gretna and Lee Mason of Gretna; two daughters, Joyce Routon and her husband, Murrell of Gretna and Carolyn Wyatt and her husband, Harold of Appomattox; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Michael Allen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
