Gretna……...Eloise Lewis Jones, age 97 of Gretna died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her residence.

Born December 30, 1923 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late George Edward Lewis and Birdie Mitchell Lewis. She was predeceased by five brothers, Hubert Lewis, Walter Lewis, James Lewis, Marion Lewis and Willard Lewis; five sisters, Pauline Smith, Margaret Horne, Louise Lowe, Ruth Shelton and Laura Ingram. Mrs. Jones worked for several years at Dan River Mills and was a member at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church.  She loved doing crafts and making homemade rolls.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Randolph Jones of the residence; two sons, Marion Swain and wife, Patsy of Gretna and Kim Jones of Gretna.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Rev. Dennis Nichols.
