Gretna……….Elaine Pickeral Gibson, age 80 of Gretna died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her residence.

Born March 2, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Oscar Pickeral and Annie Belle Rowland Pickeral.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church and she was a home maker.  Mrs. Gibson enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  She was married to Bobby Dean Gibson on June 6, 1958, and she provided for her husband and children all the days of her life.  Her family was the center of her heart and she loved all of them deeply.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Dean Gibson of the residence; one son, Andrew D. Gibson and wife, Andra of Chatham; three daughters, Kimberly G. Worley and husband, Tim of Gretna, Rhonda G. Gammon and husband, Tim of Gretna, and Faith G. Adkins of Gretna; three sisters, Brenda P. Rowland of Long Island, Vivian P. Dawson of Rustburg, and Donna P. Clemmons and husband, Steve of Las Vegas, Nevada; 14 grandchildren, Andrea G. Bowling (Marshall), Grace E. Worley, Fallon G. Melton (Brandon), Becca G. Davila, Kayla G. Jamerson (Kevin), Seth A. Gammon, Hillary W. Mayhew (Phillip), Hannah W. Barley (Derek), Matthew C. Gibson (Emily), Hunter G. Adkins, Bryce A. Adkins, Kylee Hipp, Kayley Hipp, and Kelsey Hipp; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Elder Troy Simpson and Elder Raymond Goad.
