Hurt…….Edward Leon "Stoney" Owens, Sr., age 55 of Hurt died Friday, November 5, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born December 27, 1965, he was a son of Paul Edward Owens of the residence and Brenda Krantz Divers of Rocky Mount.  He was predeceased by a son, Anthony Owens.  Mr. Owens was an employee of Moore's Electric; and he enjoyed working on old cars, music, cookouts, bon fires, and flathead fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Penny Perkins Owens of the residence; five sons, Jeromy Owens of Hurt, Dusty Owens of Hurt, Tristan Owens of the residence, Jamie Moore and wife, Tonya of Evington, and Josh Hoefle and wife, Stephanie of Gretna; one daughter, Tabitha Moore of Hurt; two brothers, Dion Owens and wife, Carissa of Hurt, and Brian Owens and wife, Liz of Rocky Mount; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.  Burial will follow in Tree of Life Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
