Hurt…….Harold Edward Keatts, Jr., age 51 of Hurt died Saturday, June 6, 2020 at his residence.

Born February 17, 1969 in Danville, he was a son of Harold Edward Keatts, Sr. and wife, Peggy of Gretna and the late Francis Juanita Barnard Watkins.  He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Harold T. and Ida Keatts; and maternal grandparents, Clay and Mollie Bell Barnard.  Mr. Keatts was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and he was a carpenter.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and car racing.

In addition to father and step-mother he is survived by one daughter, Alyssa Keatts of Gretna; one brother, Jason Keatts of Richmond; two sisters, Sherry Fitzgerald and husband, Jeff of Schuyler, and Tiwanna Tapscott of Charlottesville; one step-brother, Larry Pugh and wife, Teresa of Chatham; three step-sisters, Cindy Simpson and husband, Steve of Gretna, Lisa Moon and husband, Stuart of Gretna, and Regina Power and significant other, Mark Arthur of Gretna; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Pastor Thomas Lee.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 452, Gretna, VA 24557.
