Gretna……….Edna Geneva Tuck, age 76 of Gretna died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born August 10, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Edmond Adkins and Ethel Towler Adkins. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Adkins and two brothers, Ray Adkins and Roy Douglas Adkins. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ and a former employee of Sara Lee Knitting. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, cross stitching, watching wrestling on TV, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Tuck of Chatham; four daughters, Evelyn Francis and husband, James of Gretna, Tammy Dawson and husband, Chris of Gretna, Candy Brooks and husband, Kenneth of Gretna and Sandra Tuck and husband, Dennis of Gretna; one brother, Roney Adkins of Gretna; one sister, Hilda Smith of Gretna; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Francis, Austin Tuck, Tiffany Tuck and Angel Tuck.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Dennis Tucker. Burial will follow in the Wagner Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Kenneth Brooks, 1704 Telegraph Road, Gretna.
