Pittsville……….Edna Sue Barber Ferguson, age 80 of Pittsville, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at her residence.

Born June 19, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late William Lovelace Barber and Nannie Kate Towler Barber.  Edna was a member of New Bethel Church of the Brethren and she retired from Klopman Mills.  She loved going to church.

She is survived by one brother, Elwood Barber and wife, Linda of Chatham; one sister, Peggy B. Farmer and husband, Carroll of Lynchburg; one nephew, Christopher Barber; four nieces, Lisa Barber, Martha Adkins and husband, Mike, Janet Hancock and husband, Ricky, and Cindy Davidson and husband, Doug; two great-nephews and two great-nieces; and a special friend, Ann Barbour.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Curtis English.  Burial will follow in the Barber Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Linda Barber, 948 Sheva Road, Chatham.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Gretna Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 14, Gretna, VA 24557 or to Climax Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 4166 Climax Road, Chatham, VA 24531.
