Chatham...........Edna Grace Andrews, age 88 of Chatham died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.
Born March 15, 1931 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph Dawson and Mable Ellen Heffron Dawson. She was predeceased by her husband, Cedric John Andrews; four brothers, Pete Dawson, Joe Dawson, Howard Dawson, and John Dawson; and five sisters, Lurline Carey, Florence Jones, Marie Holmes, Ruby Mae Natoila, and Mary Helen Dawson. Mrs. Andrews was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, flowers, cooking, babysitting, being on the farm, and her church.
She is survived by one son, Samuel M. Andrews and wife, Teresa of Windsor; two daughters, Bonnie A. Dalton and husband, Gerald of Pittsville, and Ellen A. Howard of Middleburg, FL; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor David Edinger and Ramsey Taylor. Burial will follow in the Andrews Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Gerald Dalton, 384 Reservoir View Drive, Pittsville.
