Gretna…….William Edward "Eddie" Midkiff, age 63 of Gretna died Monday, October 18, 2021 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born September 15, 1958 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Sterling Paul Midkiff, Sr. and Louise Hughes Midkiff.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Terry Ray Adams; a brother, Sterling Paul Midkiff, Jr; and a sister, Mary Lee Midkiff.  Mr. Midkiff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, attending church, country living, and sitting on the porch.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Blount Midkiff of Gretna; two daughters, Amanda Anderson of Gretna, and Stephanie Midkiff of Gretna; two step-sons, Cory Blount of Gretna, and Alex Fraser of Gretna; one grandchild, Nevin White; and one great-grandchild, Jayden White.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Trinity Lighthouse Community Church by Pastor Butch Boley.

The family request that all flowers be sent to his residence; 305 Izaak Walton Road, Gretna.
