Gretna……….Eddie "Ed" Harrison Finch, age 71 of Gretna died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his residence.
Born December 3, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL he was a son of the late Carl Eddie Finch and Louise Harrison Finch. Mr. Finch was predeceased by a brother, Carroll Lloyd Finch and one sister Linda Louise Finch Witt. He was a retired salesman at Tidewater Commercial Supply, Inc. and was a member at First Baptist Church of Gretna. Mr. Finch received his Master's Degree in Theology from Liberty University in December 2014; he also worked with the Lighthouse Community Church in Lynchburg, served as the minister of music at different churches for 50 years, and greatly enjoyed singing.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Williams Finch of the residence; three sons, William Carl Finch and his wife, Lisa of Stewartstown, PA, Christopher Alan Finch & his wife, Shree of Suffolk, and Graham Lee Finch and his wife, Sara of Ft. Worth, TX; and five grandchildren, Olivia Rose Finch, Sophia Grace Finch, Kaitlyn Alexis Finch, Emily Lauren Finch, and Bryan Carl Booker.
A Celebrations of Ed's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Gretna by Rev. Ernie Roebuck.
