Long Island………Earleen Hutcherson Clay, age 75 of Long Island died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her residence.

Born October 15, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas "Junior" Hutcherson and Florence King Hutcherson.  She was predeceased by one son, Glenn "Pete" Clay, Jr; one brother, Tom Hutcherson; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Clay.  Mrs. Clay was a member of Edge Hill Baptist Church and a former supervisor with A.O. Smith.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Garner Clay of the residence; one daughter, Michelle Lee Clay of Hurt; two sisters, Nancy Wilson of Hurt, and Gearleen Dawson and husband, Charles of Long Island; one brother-in-law, Russell Monroe Clay, Jr. of Hurt; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Josh Crews.
