Bassett…….Carl Dylan Barbour, 15 of 120 Pearley Lane, Bassett, walked out of this world Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence.
Born July 10, 1996 in Roanoke, he was a son of Robert Lee Barbour and the late, Rhonda Renee Mullins Barbour. Dylan was predeceased by a brother Timothy Lee Barbour; grandmother, Essie (Cat) Hankins; great grandfathers, Carl Young and Wiley Weis. He was a student at Franklin County High School; and enjoyed hunting, playing video games, and music.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Robert and Mary Barbour of the residence; a brother, Corrie Barbour of Bassett; a sister, Ciji Barbour of Bassett; a nephew, Gabriel Barbour; his grandparents, Ronald Mullins of Fork Mountain, Ronald and Glenda Weiss of Woolwine; great-grandparents, Norma Young and Billy Dixon of Henry, George and Doris Mullins of Ferrum, Jean Goad of Bassett and Gladys Weiss of Woolwine; aunts, Angie Hodges of Woolwine and Gloria Hankins of Callands; uncle, Christopher Mullins of Stuart; step-brothers, Joe Clark and Paul Clark; and special friend, Tonya Brumfield.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Susan Adkins. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
