Gretna…..Dylan Kyle Adkins, age 32 of Gretna, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident.

Born December 14, 1985 in Rocky Mount, he was the son of Susan and Joey Doss of Gretna and the late Lyle Adkins.  He was an employee of Vanderhyde Dairy Inc. Dylan was a member of Marion Bapist Church where he enjoyed working and cooking with the Brotherhood.  He enjoyed spending time with his kids and nephew, going to the beach and swimming with his kids.  He also enjoyed a good steak, four wheeling, mud bogging, working on his car,  washing and waxing his car, and riding around listening to music.

In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Devon K. Adkins of the residence; a daughter, Kaitlyn R. Adkins of the residence; a sister, Denise Friedman and husband, Eric of Suffolk; and a nephew, Elijah Friedman.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Marion Baptist Church by Dr. Henry M. Meadows, Jr.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Marion Baptist Church and other times will be at the residence.
