Pastor Duane Allen Jones

Gretna……Duane Allen Jones, age 86 of Gretna died Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born March 3, 1935 in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Walter Roosevelt McKinley Jones and Freda Louise Correll Jones.  He was predeceased by 2 Sisters, 3 Brothers and a grandson, Kyle Duane Stullenburg.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Kentucky Christian College, and a retired Minister with the Church of Christ. Duane was a member of Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church, and he enjoyed woodworking, singing, and was devoted to caring for his wife.

He is survived by his Wife, Joyce Lee Hornick Jones of the residence; 2 Sons, Timothy Jones of Chatham, and Duane Allen Jones, Jr of Illinois; 3 Daughters, Sonya Smith of Waynesboro, Vickie Myers and husband Mike, of West Virginia, and Loreana Hess and husband Rich, of Ohio; 2 Sisters, Audrey Cline and husband Kenneth, of Ohio, and Edith Noll of Ohio; 11 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren.
