Hurt……..Dorothy Dove Hendricks, age 75 of Hurt died Friday, December 9, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born January 15, 1941 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Richard Dove and Lessie Hendricks Dove. She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Morgan Hendricks; a daughter, Judy Hendricks O'dell; a granddaughter, Dawn Marie O'dell; and a brother, Ricky Dove. Mrs. Hendricks was a member at Spring Road Baptist Church and was a former employee at the Lane Company. She enjoyed working word puzzles, NASCAR; and she loved flowers, gardening, going to church and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, William Hendricks of Hurt; and two sisters, Dianne Keatts of Hurt and Faye Pierce and husband, William of Hurt.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Hendricks Family Cemetery by Rev. Brian Faison and Ronnie Simpson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
