Altavista.........Dorothy Wisley Green, age 82 of Altavista died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Altavista.

Born June 18, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late John David Wisley and Willie Roberts Wisley.  She was predeceased by her husband, William David Green; one son, David Green; and two brothers, Jesse Wisley and Dewey Wisley.  Mrs. Green was a member of Altavista Baptist Tabernacle and she was a home maker.  She never met a stranger; and she enjoyed going out riding, going out to eat, especially eating hot dogs, and listening to country music, especially Loretta Lynn. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan G. Newby and husband, Dennis of Hurt; two sons, Robert Green and wife, Donna of Gladys, and Lee Roy Roach and wife, Patsy of Gretna; two sisters, Helen Kidd of Hurt, and Brenda Hackney of Virginia Beach; one daughter-in-law, Karen Green of Hurt; four grandchildren, Angel King, and husband, Karl, Raven Newby, Adam Green, and Andrew Green; and one great-grandson, Kason King.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Steve Morris.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
