Penhook…….Doris Horsley Tuck, age 96 of Hardy, previously of Penhook died Friday, January 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born February 9, 1920 in Franklin County she was a daughter of the late John William Horsley and Ola Arthur Horsley. Mrs. Tuck was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Marcus Tuck and a brother, Howard Horsley. She was member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed yard work, flowers, baking, sewing and visiting friends and family.
She is survived by her sister, Mabel H. Dalton of Penhook; nieces and nephews, Marie Ogden and husband, Wayne, Doug Dalton and wife, Amy and Nancy Mitchell; a special great-niece, Donna Lovelace and husband, Mike, and other great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
