Gretna……….Doris Doss Tomlinson, age 66 of Gretna died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her residence.

Born July 28, 1953 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard Theo Doss and Eloise Delappe Doss. Mrs. Doss was a caregiver and loved animals. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Teri Tomlinson and fiancé, Brad Dawson of Hurt and Brandi Minton and fiancé, Todd Dawson of Hurt; one brother, Kevin Cox of Hurt; three grandchildren, Brandon Minton, Hunter Shelton and Chase Shelton; a sister-in-law, Romana Shumate of Altavista; an aunt, Juanita Robinson and husband, Dale of Hopewell; two nephews, Kagan Cox of Altavista and Corbin Cox of Altavista; and best friends, Joyce Miller of Gretna and Candida Gibson of Lynch Station.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Pittsylvania County Pet Center, 11880 US Highway 29 Chatham, VA 24531.
